Experience 06

A rotation designed for people who have not met yet.

Mixed teams, coached tables, a timed rotation and a short debrief. The format does the introductions so your managers do not have to.

Participants Up to 155 Duration 2 to 4 hours Teams Mixed, assigned Age 20+
Four small groups of adult colleagues rotating between teal-felt entertainment tables with hosts coaching each group.
Rotation programme · conference venue · 90 participants

Who it suits

For the day when the point is the mixing, not the activity.

Most team building fails on the same thing: the groups form themselves, and people end up with the colleagues they already eat lunch with. We assign teams, and the rotation makes sure every participant works with people from at least three other parts of your organisation.

Each table is coached rather than merely dealt. The host teaches a format in four minutes, runs a timed block, then hands the group a small shared decision — which is where the useful conversations start.

  • Newly merged, restructured or rapidly grown teams.
  • Multi-site organisations meeting in one room once a year.
  • Conference and off-site afternoon programmes.
  • Onboarding cohorts and graduate intakes of adult staff.
  • Leadership groups who need an hour of lower-stakes contact.
Included as standard

What the programme includes

  • Pre-assigned mixed teams built from a list you send us.
  • A timed rotation across three or four coached table formats.
  • One host per table, briefed as a coach rather than a dealer.
  • A visible team scoreboard, run in symbolic chips.
  • A short facilitated debrief at the end, if you want one.
  • A written summary for your HR or people team afterwards.

Quoted individually. The price depends on the size of the event, the venue, travel and the format you choose — we prepare a tailored proposal rather than a rate card.

How it runs

A three-hour rotation.

Before the day

Teams and objectives

You send a participant list and tell us what you want the session to achieve. We build mixed teams and set the rotation so nobody sits twice with the same group.

Opening

Framing, five minutes

Short, unceremonious: here are your teams, here is the rotation, here is the one rule — chips are symbolic and nothing here is played for money.

Block one

Coached table

Each team starts at a different format. The host teaches, then runs a timed block. The learning curve is deliberately steep and short.

Blocks two and three

Rotation

Teams move. The second block is where the conversation loosens; the third is where the group starts making decisions as a unit rather than as individuals.

Final block

Showcase table

The leading teams play a final round with everyone else watching. A named winning team, a trophy if you have brought one, and nothing of monetary value awarded.

Close

Debrief

Fifteen minutes, optional, facilitated: what the teams noticed about how they decided things. We keep it short and specific rather than making large claims for it.

Why this format is safe to book

A workplace programme has to be defensible. This one is.

Everything runs on symbolic chips issued equally to every team. There is no buy-in, no stake, no personal money in play and nothing of monetary value awarded at the end. Nobody can lose anything, which is what makes it usable as a work activity at all.

Because it is a workplace setting, we are also careful about participation. The rotation is designed so that a participant who would rather not play can scorekeep, coach or observe for a block without it being conspicuous, and we tell your organiser how that works before the day.

Programmes are for adult staff only, 20 and over. We do not run this format for school, youth or mixed-age groups.

Entertainment only. This is an offline, adults-only event entertainment service. There is no real-money gambling, no betting, no cash prizes and no online casino service. Chips are symbolic, have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for money, credit or goods. Guests must be 20 or over.

Questions

Three questions from people teams.

With the money removed, yes, and that is the whole design. No participant stakes anything, nothing of value is awarded, and we give your organiser a plain-language description to circulate beforehand so nobody is surprised by the theme.

The rotation has roles that are not playing: scorekeeping, coaching a team, timing a block. We brief hosts to offer those naturally rather than asking anyone to explain themselves.

That is the most common booking. A three-hour afternoon rotation, a break, then the room reconfigured into a corporate casino night. One build, one crew, two distinct events.

Next step

Tell us the group and what the session is for.

Send a participant count and a date. We will propose a rotation, a team structure, a duration and a written price.
