Experience 02
A private evening with the atmosphere of a members room.
Milestone birthdays, anniversaries, engagements and the sort of party people describe afterwards by what it felt like rather than what was served.
Who it suits
For hosts who want the evening to have a shape.
Private parties are harder than corporate events, not easier. You know everyone, everyone has an opinion, and the room has to work for your closest friends and for your partner’s colleagues at the same time.
A table format gives the evening a spine. There is somewhere to go after the first drink, a natural reason for two groups to mix, and a moment near the end that belongs to you — the final table, the toast, the presentation.
- Milestone birthdays, from intimate 12-guest dinners upwards.
- Anniversaries, engagements and vow-renewal celebrations.
- Pre-wedding evenings for adult guests.
- Family reunions and homecoming parties.
- House-warmings in lodges, holiday homes and hired heritage rooms.
What a private evening includes
- One to four entertainment tables sized to the room.
- A host at each table, in black tie or house uniform as you prefer.
- Symbolic chips issued to every guest on arrival.
- Discreet table lighting that works with candles rather than against them.
- A site visit or a photo-and-measurement review of your room.
- Quiet pack-down after the last guest leaves.
Quoted individually. The price depends on the size of the event, the venue, travel and the format you choose — we prepare a tailored proposal rather than a rate card.
Why this format is safe to book
An easy thing to explain on an invitation.
Private guest lists are mixed in ways corporate ones are not. There may be someone on yours for whom gambling is genuinely not welcome, and you may not know who.
Because our format uses symbolic chips only, with no stakes, no buy-in and no cash prizes, the invitation can say so plainly. In our experience one line is enough: casino-themed entertainment, chips only, nothing played for money.
We also ask every private host to confirm that all guests on the event floor will be 20 or over. It is the one condition we do not negotiate.
Questions
Three questions from private hosts.
Usually, but not always, and we would rather tell you before you book. Allow roughly three metres by three metres per table including standing room. Send us photographs and a rough measurement of the room and we will give you a straight answer.
Yes. A poker-themed dinner works well for 12 to 30 guests: a seated course, then one or two tables opening afterwards. See VIP signature evenings for the most produced version of that format.
No. Hosts will decline it, and a table that keeps drifting that way gets closed. The format only works because everyone starts with the same chips and nothing on the felt is worth anything off it.

Photographs and a rough guest count are enough to start. You will have a proposal with a table count, a host count and a price within two working days.
